Beginning with the 2026-27 season, US Youth Soccer has determined youth soccer programs will change from birth year to school year (August 1 to July 31) for setting a player's age for soccer. This was a choice to get more players playing with school classmates, and make it easier for players who are going to high school and want to play at that level. YSYSL is changing our designations from U10 (under 10) to 10u (10 and under), since players born in August 2016 for example will actually turn 10 during the playing season

For the 2026-27 season, any players who's birthdate puts them with an "extra' year in the younger age group may request to be moved up to continue with the group they have played with in the past
